I do share your enthusiasm for nuclear Robert but you promote it for the wrong reasons. Because nuclear or not won’t do anything to the climate. The planet needs CO2 to thrive and lots of it. We are actually living in CO2-poor times. At the time when life was at its most grandiose, in the Jurassic, CO2 was much more than double what it is now. But with sensible nuclear (with sensible I mean sensible regulation as what we have now is a disgrace and does not add safety) humanity could truly have cheap power. And we will need plenty of cheap power if we are to deal with the economic mess that’s upon us now.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
