The National Grid is falling apart thanks to Net Zero

Just today I had a little online conversation with a friend living in South Africa. She said that they are going towards two patches of 8 hours without electricity per day. It’s called load shedding. Sure enough, the electricity problems in South Africa don’t stem from renewable energy but rather from corruption and criminal neglect of the entire energy infrastructure of the country. But thats the way we are going down. Matching the capabilities of the grid to what wind and solar would require would cost double-digit billions per country. And if we are honest, we need to pin those costs on renewables as conventional energy does not need it. Thats the true cost of wind and solar – and they don’t want to face it so we are going to pay through blackouts – many of them.
