The pioneering carbon dioxide moonshot that could help tackle climate change

It’s no more than an admission that we are nowhere near anything that would allow them to release so-called net-zero technologies to the market without backbreaking subsidies helping them survive. The costs are astronomical and even the levels we are being shown today are a gross understatement. The Moonshot resulting in Moonlanding in 1969 was simple in scope and ambition in comparison. We cannot meaningfully influence the climate and neither should we. Just because some want to make giant fortunes on the fears of the many does not warrant the widespread destruction of our economies.

In the spirit of the moon landing, urgent action is needed to limit carbon dioxide emissions. Could bioenergy with carbon capture and storage offer such a solution?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
