3 very large African oil and gas producers. Also 3 countries with very large populations and growing energy needs – especially Egypt and Nigeria. It’s attractive to export oil and gas and make a buck in the process but growing populations will also want better jobs and demand better quality of life. This also requires energy. Egypt got a taste of this when some years ago they turned from a gas exporter into a gas importer and now an exporter again. Europe looks nice on the horizon but you will need to do a lot more exploration for that.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
