The World Bank’s Impractical Electric Car Claptrap
A couple of days ago I was part of a discussion on Electric Vehicles. People quickly understood that I was the one asking the uncomfortable questions but suddenly I who was hit with a question. “What happens if an Electric Vehicle starts burning in a subterranean garage and the car is parked close to a structural element for the building on top. Would the safety of the building be compromised? I said that I am not an expert on statics but I assumed that the element close to the fire would probably need some special checking.
