That’s not a technology issue. It’s a regulatory issue. People are afraid of robots potentially hurting them when they are in the open. Trucks can do way more damage. Don’t get me wrong. I am not opposed to self-driving trucks nor do I think that they won’t come. They will – but it won’t be quick and easy.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
