No, it has not. They are still there, still spewing their nonsense, still making us all mad with their idiotic predictions and assumptions and they still enjoy the limelight and recognition with the money perks attached. Right now, the European Gas conference happens in Vienna. I took a look at the expert panel. The same old faces that got everything wrong over the last 10 years get the star treatment. And when someone speaks up and criticizes their record all the world snaps back “How dare you”. We are in love with hucksters.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
