U.S. crude oil and natural gas production increased in 2018, with 10% fewer wells

I have a feeling that we are just at the beginning of the shale miracle. I think that over the next 10 years shale entrepreneurs will find untold other ways to improve flow rates, lower cost counts and make their operations work better, cheaper and more efficiently. It’s called tinkering. I always stood in awe of those tinkerers that made seemingly impossible things work by pure patience and endless trial and error. Nature took its sweet time to evolve humans. It took more than 2 billion years to go from chemical soup to first primitive bacteria. Shale is not done yet, it just got started.
