Virginia – Don’t follow net-zero lemmings over the energy cliff

There is still hope in many that we can avert the worst – but we can’t. Just as Israel could not possibly avert what had befallen it a few weeks ago, the world will need a major catastrophe for the majority population to come to its senses and do what needs to be done. No matter how painful, no matter how uncomfortable. No matter how bad things will get, there will always be those who want ever more calamity. Even today, there are those in Israel that want to pursue their old policies when it must be abundantly clear that they have failed. There is a portion of the population that is simply lost no matter what’s at stake.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
