A joke: “When Ronald Reagan was president he met Michael Gorbatchev. and they made a wager about whose country would last longer. 10 years later they meet again and Gorbatchev tells Reagan that the US has become completely communist. Reagan says yes thats true and have you heard about the war at the Finno-Chinese border? That was an 80ies running joke. At least parts of the US have indeed become deeply communist. Time to let those who want it enjoy the blessings of communism. Some communities must be isolated for their own sake.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
