1.5C – “Unfortunately, Time is Up”

When the Iron Curtain fell in 1989, I gave myself a short but powerful boost of hope that communism might eventually be done. When the Soviet Union disintegrated a few years later it got really hot. For most people, that hope was well and alive until today. Not for me. I lost belief in a humanity that wants to be free in the Nineties. After 2000, it got crushed as successive economic crises were dealt with in good old communist fashions – printing money. Communism is a virus that can’t go away. Too many weak-willed people around to act as a reservoir for this rotten idea.

But eco-communism can save us.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
