Asian spot prices steady as India seeks to soak up some of supply glut

Is this the beginning of the next big bubble for LNG? Let’s get things straight – I think that India is a very high potential for LNG and that its market might grow at some quite brisk pace. BUT, there are quite a number of stumbling blocks on the way plus the total real potential of India does not even begin to swallow the LNG wave rolling over our heads right now. So, yes go after it. But keep things in perspective – we will need more than just the next star market in order to tackle oversupply.

Asian spot prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG) for cargoes delivered in February slipped this week amid ample supply, but losses were limited as Indian companies sought cargoes to meet spot requirements.
