BP weighs ending its 70-year-old Statistical Review of World Energy

Yes, it’s a shame and it’s also a shame that the splendid know-how many integrated oil and gas players have built up over the decades goes away. The real question to me is if the majors will be able to make a comeback when wind and solar will inevitably fail ad the subsidies dry up. Because they will end and all the hopes in something that might make them profitable without support are smoke and mirrors. But I would rather live in a world without the majors and have a new flock of oil companies take us to new horizons than have those dinosaurs hanging in and pouring their drivel at us endlessly. Good riddance.
