Chaotic Wind Power Output Leaves Power-Starved Texans Praying To Wind Gods

Has anyone had a look at Texan power prices? This is absolute insanity. It’s not double, triple, or even ten times the national average. We are talking hundreds of times and far more. Only in Texas. Much of it is due to the energy architecture of Texas but the state also has massive wind generation and very little in terms of balancing mechanisms to account for too much or too little wind. Sure, just building the wind turbines without the backup is much cheaper than actually making sure that networks don’t collapse. So, Texans should either pay the piper what it is due or get rid of this atrocity called wind energy altogether.
