China to Post Record Decline in LNG Imports as Economy Slows

It’s the one thing everyone seems to factor in. Will China’s demand be going down save Europe? It just might. I know for a fact that many utility executives still hope that the war in Ukraine might somehow stabilize and that Russia exports more gas again so they can go back to do what they have always done. It might even happen – especially if Russia falters in Ukraine and after a crushing defeat needs to rebuild its economy and its armed forces. They might be willing to throw it all out. And Europe will just use whatever excuse to take it. Imagine China going down in this scenario.
