Yes, China needs the West to shoot itself in the foot again, best would be both. It never intended to uphold its part of the deal anyhow but it’s in bad trouble economically so running its mouth on others failing is a nice distraction. But Climate Alarmism has run out of steam and it won’t come back any time soon. Plus, the problems China has are homemade. No matter what happens in the non-Chinese world, China’s system is going to falter. That being said, having some short-term distractions at hand may give them a breather. So they hope.
