Chevron to pursue Israel natural gas expansion despite Middle Eastern conflict

They are right to do so. After this conflict cools down Israel will have to put its focus on more independence in energy among other things. Natural Gas as well as nuclear will be a big part of that so finding more Natural Gas off its coasts will be paramount. Chevron may catch some criticism over their involvement in Israel for a moment but this is a long-term business and short-term developments should not weigh too heavily. Besides, fossil fuel companies should develop a stronger spine in the climate fight anyhow. This is a good thing and I commend Chevron.
