Gazprom delivers second LNG shipment to China, taking Suez Canal

Has anyone looked at the distance? Transporting LNG over long distances is cheaper than pipeline gas over comparable distances but it’s not free at all. Besides, there is plenty of competition that’s much closer to China than this so I doubt the Chinese will want to foot the bill. How long will this happen, especially when there is oversupply again? That’s not going to happen you say? We heard that many times. It was always wrong. Markets always swing between oversupply and undersupply and the more violent the swing goes in one direction, the harder it will swing back.
