Credulous populations tend to believe anything they are told as soon as there is a general mood. And those in the line of fire will be grateful for any cheap excuse to soothe their plight. When it gets colder instead of warmer, when plenty of ice should have disappeared years ago, when glaciers are growing and every single prediction alarmists make fails so badly, pinning blame on the climate for volcanic eruptions just feels right.
