BoJo’s Political Weakness Endangers Climate Action

It’s not BoJo’s weakness. Anyone who embarked on any of those virtue-signaling trips would have hit a wall eventually. Admittedly, BoJo has a knack for gaffes but he also has a knack for getting out of their endless loops. Climate Change, as well as the COVID scare, are dead-end policy proposals. Anything that combats the very nature and daily reality of human life is. Anything that requires people to give up their lives for the greater good is bound to blow up eventually. Telling people that their very lives are the problem and expecting them to bend over backward is not going to be popular.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
