Fading interest – or sheer necessity? It’s hard to imagine any corporate leader with less of a backbone than energy CEOs – well, most of them. There are rare exceptions and those rare beasts are spectacular. But the vast majority of energy company boards have sung the song of zero-carbon and Climate Change adorned with all the most stupid initiatives that ever graced the planet with full lungs. Now they are in a bind and also see an opportunity. Because there won’t be enough oil for quite a while which means that if your oil flow is still healthy, you will be printing dollars. But the new breed is already building a new world. It’s far too late for common sense.
