Environmental impacts of cultured meat: A cradle-to-gate life cycle assessment

One day in the future, we won’t eat parts of animal corpses anymore. One day it will seem utterly incomprehensible how something that once lived can enter our mouths. But this day is not tomorrow. We tend to overestimate the near future and underestimate the longer-term future potential. I am quite sure that in the lifetime of my children, this will take off. But I have a feeling that whatever enters my mouth while I live will have lived. Just because it’s possible does not mean that it makes any sense at all at this very moment.
