EU Taps Ukraine Storage Facilities to Secure Gas Supply

If Ukrainians show the same level of inventiveness they exhibited during the war when it comes to rebuilding the economy, Europe might have a new gas partner here. They have the underground storage, they have the upstream in the Black Sea and they have shale acreage. But these will still be imports for Europe and Europe will have to pay for the privilege just as it did with Russia or indeed anyone else. Europe has also destroyed much of its innovative industries which means the expensive energy combined with sluggishness become economic misery. Europe needs homegrown options.
