European LNG imports hit record levels
There will be a wave of new North West European LNG terminals plus a massive expansion of existing ones. Japan already dumps excess cargos into Europe, China has started the same no, add in China and a slew of other producers plus Russian LNG reloaded in NWE and the need for new terminals becomes glaring. Smart terminal developers in Europe should be able to get some producers to finance their projects and snap up some capacity for themselves. I expect the first true traded LNG price maker to emerge from here. Stay tuned.
