ExxonMobil deal will transform shale and beyond

In an age of deglobalization, local anything takes on a new dimension of its own. I don’t know exactly how Europe will tackle this challenge as we have a very diseased relationship with anything shale but North America will become the industrial powerhouse of the world once more and this will be in no small way due to the benefits of stable, clean energy shale gives them. Europe might figure out some shale in the east, or a lot more nuclear, or clean coal, or a combination of all of them. My own country Austria still has a lot of hydropower potential. If we can get around building new power plants. Shale is not only to stay, you reject it at your peril if you do.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
