Fossil Fuels Are the Greenest of Energy Sources

We grow up with the message that before us, everything was better and greener and that the planet would be much better off if we reverted to earlier times lifestyles. Most people don’t know that peak deforestation did not happen anywhere near our lifetimes. It was about 200 years ago when the world’s marines were still built with wood and most thermal heat was generated by burning our green friends. The pre-fossil fuels earth was on a massive rampage to kill and maim, to use whatever we found to make life possible. Fossil fuels have allowed us to save whales, forests, and life around us. The march back to renewables will hurt nature much more than anything we have ever seen before.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
