Heathrow has lost its status as a global transport hub, says Dubai Airports boss

It’s not only Heathrow that loses out. It’s all of Europe and it is not because of demographics or some other outside factor. It’s almost only because of the atrociously bad policy choices that European politicians have made supposedly on behalf of their people over the last 30 years at least. The end of the Cold War has made us lose our Mojo as the big menace in the East was no more. It robbed us of our zest for life cutting an existence in the shadow of the volcano. We became a complacent, tired, virtue-signaling bunch of whiners and eternal victims. When you are so busy being a wimp, there is no more energy for the truly important stuff in life. Down we go and we just got started.
