Hyping Daily Maximum Temperatures

Oh yes, I love all this banter about temperature. To all the alarmists out there: what is the correct temperature supposed to be? I am just asking because not only are you cherry-picking temperature data but you are also being outrageously dishonest about it. Temperature measuring stations that were in the wild 70 years ago find themselves surrounded by cityscape now. And urban islands warm-up – thats a known effect. Oh, those temperatures you take on the poles are taken out in the wild or where humans can control them? Exactly, humans are required and if there is a heated, arctic research station, temperatures will rise in the vicinity as a result of that. Don’t get me started on how to determine averages.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
