Ireland rues mistakes of the past as it struggles to keep the lights on

So green island has taken a stab at the green stone age. Ireland was once an economic backwater – thats actually not so far away. There are still wild stories about famines on the island. It’s a perfect example of how fast it all can go away if stupid policies are given free rein. But then again, the Irish are feeling the pain and I have already seen mainstream politicians questioning the green mania. Ireland might just take an early walk from all the green madness and re-institute a solid policy framework for new wealth. Some pain now might avert a bigger disaster later.
