Israel plans to ban gasoline and diesel vehicles by 2030

2030 – that’s a steep timeline. But Israel is a small country and most vehicles never cross borders. They could go all methane in no time especially considering the massive gas reserves before their coasts.

Israelis will no longer be able to buy new gasoline or diesel-powered vehicles after 2030, the Energy Ministry Yuval Steinitz said, unveiling a plan to replace them with alternative fuel cars and trucks.
