Japan tries again for greater flexibility on LNG

If Japan decides to outlaw destination clauses, that’s just that. What can anyone do? But why would sellers agree to modify existing agreements? This is a can of worms and as a seller you face all kinds of troubles from all kinds of committees for this. I don’t blame them for shunning the explaining that comes on the heel of such a thing. I would probably shun it. Easier to dig in.
