LNG has a long future as customers seek energy security

Wanna know how long that goes? I am in my fifties right now and I don’t expect to see LNG go down in my lifetime however long that eventually turns out to be. But there is more. I am convinced that LNGs best days are yet to come and that there is currently no person alive that will see a meaningful downturn in its fortunes. It’s incredibly clean, it’s convenient, it’s available, sustainable, safe, it’s technologically mature and it is used to fuel anything, from trucks to locomotives to any kind of water vehicle to power generation and industrial heat and petrochemicals and even space rockets now. Only airliners are not there yet but that will come too. Qatar backed the right horse when it went for LNG.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
