London summers will be as hot as Nice by 2070: Met Office

None of the decision-makers in office today will be alive in 2070. So none of them will have to accept any blame for making any statement that’s so far out. They clearly have learned their lesson – 10 years is too close. All those predictions have bombed so there is some blame to go around. But if I entertained the notion that London might be a lot hotter in 2070 than now – that was already the case before. The Romans have grown red wine around York 2000 years ago. You can’t do that today. Must have been a lot warmer then. But how did that work without industrial CO2?

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
