OMV Petrom, Romgaz to develop “largest” natural gas project in Romanian Black Sea

The Black Sea has the potential for becoming one of the most important gas providers in Europe. It might not suffice to replace what Russia was 2 years ago but it might provide enough to blunt the edge. Once the war in Ukraine is over and the country is the master of all its territory again, this will prove to be a bounty that does not stop giving. Resourceful as the Ukrainians prove to be right now they will surely make good use of this. That said, Europe would be well advised not to slump from one dependency into the other.
