That is a good thing. If we ran the numbers on how much conventional energy is dispensed to make all those parts and the concrete foundations and hold that against the useable energy derived from those contraptions, we are massively negative. I am not even talking about the awful economics – I am talking about not replacing something that uses more energy to be built and operated than it ever produces. We also need to put a question mark on the amortization tables. I know that here in Vienna hardly any wind turbine makes it to the 15-year mark without major refurbishment.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
