Pretty much the entire fossil record of life on Earth flies in the face of this. Life has always been at its most spectacular when the climate was a little warmer. So a little real warming would do us incredibly well. But we are not going to be so lucky as we are going into a cold spell. And we can already feel its effects right now as average temperatures drop pretty much anywhere. The Arctic still has a massive ice shield, Antarctica is even at or close to ice-max and the sea level is actually quite low by historical standards.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
