Ireland is pretty isolated from the energy infrastructure of the rest of Europe. Any damage done there will stay there. If they don’t have enough energy at any point in time, they will have to bear the brunt. If their island suffers from blackouts and brownouts, the continent will be able to watch an isolated example. I just doubt that anyone would ever learn anything.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
