The World Faces Both A Hydrocarbon Shortage And A Divest Fossil Fuels Movement. What Next, Oil Patch?

No, not the world. There are two worlds on this planet. Those in the Americas will benefit from the US shale juggernaut. President Biden can slide them and dice them, the current price environment plus some more realistic governors will make sure that shale gets its party. This means that people in the Americas will have an option that works. Not so for the rest of the world. Europe indeed faces a calamity as the hydrocarbon shortage and the divestment movement produce their effects. But the people don’t have to like that. Will be interesting.

We used to be the good guys, the world’s fuel providers, a dynamic and entrepreneurial and fast-moving assembly of doers.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
