There’s a simple way to reduce the average UK electricity bill – and make energy cleaner

So private companies refuse to invest in renewables because they don’t want to make a profit. According to renewable advocates, renewables are the cheapest form of energy which at the same time cannot exist for one second without a mountain of subsidies. Does anyone spot the contradiction? Public ownership is their solution to the renewable crisis as this allows them to muck up the true cost structure even more. Just imagine, with all the contracts for difference and free balancing services and CO2 charges and mandatory renewable use for some and what else, they need even more tricks to make this thing real for themselves. And it’s still the cheapest form of energy. They take us all for absolute idiots.
