Trump was right on many things. Even Biden seems to agree as he has left a whole bunch of things Trump did in place and even expanded on them. There is no arguing with reality. Humans don’t do well in a carefree world. It’s good to have something to fight for, some spine to show as otherwise there would be truly bad problems. The last 30 years were an exercise in “more for less money”. We transferred our industries to China, we allowed ourselves to be overly dependent on energy and minerals imports from places that don’t like us very much, and we have replaced common sense and hard facts with fairy dust and wishful thinking.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
