Venezuela Deploys Troops Amid Dispute with Guyana

I am no expert on Venezuela or Guyana but I can read maps and I know that the area Venezuela wants is very hard to reach and to supply from Venezuela directly. And I am not sure how happy Brazil would be if Venezuelan troops entered its territory. It’s true that Guyana’s military is tiny and that Venezuela towers over it in sheer numbers but considering the odds on the ground, this would very likely turn into a destructive campaign for Venezuela very fast. There is very little substance on the bone there. Lots of barking. but maybe another war is in the making. The world has become a vastly more unstable place over the last 3 years.

Venezuela has decided to deploy more than 5,000 soldiers on its eastern Caribbean coast after neighboring Guyana received a warship from the UK.
