World Population – Political Statistics

As it is with most predictions, population statistics have been grossly wrong for decades, maybe even longer. Most developed countries can only grow through immigration – this is what made the US such a big country. China, the most populous country has recently admitted to having overcounted their population by more than 100 million persons – all of them in the productive middle age bracket. And I have strong doubts that countries such as Nigeria will grow as big as the UN projects. And that’s a problem as many countries are net-shrinking. We have a population problem. It’s not “too many people” but rather “not-enough-people”.
