Considering that significant portions of the world are moving towards famine, this might produce a couple of nasty debates. I know, the Greens are not too concerned about human suffering in poor countries. They could not care less about African children dying in the copper mines or Chinese workers being poisoned in the battery-producing regions. Misery and suffering have been part of the Green Communists for a long time. But hungry mouths and families unable to afford food in developed countries is a different ballpark. Those people do have a voice in elections. They can’t be hidden away quite so easily.

Carriers want to replace jet fuel with ethanol to fight global warming. That would require lots of corn, and lots of water.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
