Argentinian Reform: Subsoil Privatization

If Milei pulls this off and can make it stick, this is huge. The US is one of the very few countries on Earth where private citizens own what’s in the subsoil. It might be the only one and that’s a surefire way for those wanting to extract stuff from below that land to secure the active collaboration of the landowners. They have skin in the game, they have a pie in the oven. They benefit financially instead of the state taking everything. Someone not making money on subsoil will resist. Someone making money will help. Argentina could become an oil & gas as well as an industrial superpower with its shale.
