Aussie Government: “we don’t need a [carbon] price because renewables are too cheap”

Its true – if renewables are the cheapest form of electricity as the advocates always claim it does not need any market distortion. If I can offer the best price of something, I want the market to perform undisturbed as I know that I will always prevail. Australia is right to put this to the test. By the way, how about abolishing all those subsidies as well?

According to The Guardian, the Australian Government is "more concerned with the impact of short term electricity price rises on a small number of highly energy-intensive manufacturers" than solving the climate crisis.
