Biden-Harris Administration Announces Temporary Pause on Pending Approvals of Liquefied Natural Gas Exports

It’s not going to hold up for long – most certainly not until after the election no matter who carries the torch after. But LNG is a long-term business anyhow so a couple of months won’t make a massive difference. What have those projects done so far? Many of them have been around as a project concept for longer than a decade. True, planning takes long in LNG especially so on the liquefaction side. That’s the more complex piece of the value chain. But 10 years or more? I cannot look into the projects but past experience taught me that when the market is good, projects become overconfident wanting all-star treatment. And when the market is bad they are whining. How about being realistic for a change?
