Big Climate Brother Coming Your Way (voluntary now, mandatory later)

I am old enough to remember the year 1984. It was a pretty weird year for us as we had all read our Orwell and as this was the titular year of his novel, we looked forward with more bemusement than horror as we considered that such a thing could never happen to us. I also grew up just 5 km from the Iron Curtain, close enough to go there many times with my bike. We looked at the barbed wire, and the watchtowers and it all gave us a chill. We were happy to be on our side, the good side of it. How quaint it all was. Everything comes again, in cycles. Humans are incapable of learning.
