Capitalism Can’t Solve Climate Change

It’s true, Capitalism cannot change the slow alteration of the climate. Nothing can. But Capitalism has changed the lives of billions for the better, first of all, the lives of all those worthless and brainless activists that would live like bugs in the sewer without the blessings of capitalism. Those people fell through the cracks before the modern welfare state. They usually spent their days and nights searching for food and shelter. Now they are the shining examples we are all supposed to follow. What is irony? That being said, all those would-be socialists like to hide the fact that socialism solves absolutely nothing. Any society that tried socialism for any period of time got damaged or even destroyed. Again, the climate would not care one bit as it does not care about what those human ants do.

If we continue to see the private sector as our savior from climate catastrophe, we'll continue to fail.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
