This patchwork is often a pain in the butt to deal with at many levels. But its also the secret sauce of the American superpower. many different solutions in many different states mean that some will experiment with radical solutions. If hey succeeded, they will be a blueprint for others to copy. If they fail, it’s not the entire nation that fails. There are very few truly federalist countries. The only ones I would honestly call Federations are Switzerland and the US. The others are federations in name only. My own country is such a sham federation.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
