You think that reality starts to creep into the minds of Brussel bureaucrats but you would be completely wrong. They wanted the full Monty – they wanted their green monster outlawing anything that does not make the cut as net-zero and non-nuke. But some rather powerful countries would not let them. Sure enough, Germany and my home country raised a stick. They wanted everything and they wanted it now. Austria with abundant hydropower has it a wee bit easier but Germany has no such luxuries. Sauron is still alive and well.
